UCP Charter Schools strongly believes in collaboration and working together with many different partners to help provide the best outcomes for children and families. Some of our partners include:
Florida Department of Education – UCP Orange County Charter Schools are our own Local Education Agency (LEA) supported directly from the Florida Department of Education.
Orange (OCPS), Osceola and Seminole County (SCPS) Public Schools – As a public charter school, we are contracted through each respective district for our schools in their county. We work closely with each School District to support students.
University of Central Florida – UCP Charter Schools work closely with several departments within the University of Central Florida as research sites, internship and student observation sites, and other various partnership and collaborations. UCP of Central Florida and the UCF Physical Therapy have an ongoing partnership UCP/UCF Pediatric Physical Therapy Initiative to help address the global need for high qualify physical therapy services in the Central Florida community. Recently, the University of Central Florida College of Education and Human Performance have been working together to establish an inclusive demonstration school system site project. This project will provide an immersive learning environment for preservice and in-service teachers in the field of exceptional education while providing rigorous learning opportunities using highly collaborative 21st century learning concepts for UCP Charter School students and providing a university research center to develop and enhance best practices in Inclusive education.
Early Steps/Part C – UCP Charter Schools are a provider for Early Steps which is the Florida Birth to Age 3 Early Intervention Program. Our local partner is the Arnold Palmer Hospital/Orlando Health at the Howard Phillips Center (Orange, Seminole and Osceola Counties) and Easter Seals (Lake/Volusia County). 4C/Early Head Start- UCP Charter Schools are a provider for Early Head Start at our UCP Pine Hills and UCP Downtown/BETA Campuses. Early Head Start is a federal program that provides early, continuous, intensive and comprehensive child development and family support services to low-income families with infants and toddlers, and pregnant women and their families. Community Coordinated Care for Children, Inc. (4C) is the approved non-federal entity that contracts Early Head Start services for Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties. For more information
Early Learning Coalitions/Department of Education Office of Early Learning – Through the local Early Learning Coalitions, UCP Charter Schools is a Voluntary PreK (VPK) provider at all our PreK-elementary school campuses. Voluntary PreK is a tuition free program for all four-year old’s in Florida to prepare children for kindergarten. For more information
